The English Department's Got Talent!

We're still celebrating our 61st.anniversary... and this was part of it.
Some of those with special talents decided to share them with the rest of us... and here are some of the moments!
The Talented People were Laura, Alicia, Débora, Avril, Victoria, Gisela, María Eugenia, Gonzalo, Milagros, Micaela y Manuel, and the business-talented girls, Belén and Antonella.
Alejandra and Silvina were our DJ and host respectively, and Melina saved the honour of the teachers by juggling on behalf of all of us!
It was a great way to get to know each other a little bit better... and to celebrate Teacher's Day, Student's Day and our anniversary!

Our Department's Birthday

The Profesorado en Inglés was created in 1950; the first group graduated in 1953 (and one of the graduates is still alive, and REALLY famous), and one of the graduates from the second group (1954) is still in Paraná, and she's as active as ever!
So, we decided to open up a whole year of events to celebrate our 60th-61st anniversary and 10 years of the Profesorado being part of UADER.

The first events:
a student get-together, on Monday 22nd, to get to know each other a bit better
a tea party on Thursday 25th, with teachers and retired teachers from the English Department.

We think that it'd be interesting to organise courses and lectures and more informal, less academic meetings all along 2011. If you have any suggestion (or request), feel free to write to partybusiness60@gmail.com

Happy 60th Anniversary, English Teacher Education Programme!

Language Refresher Course: Current British T.V.

Hi everybody!
On Saturday 25th September, we'll get together to enjoy three GREAT teachers sharing ideas with us.
In alphabetical order:
Antonella Percara will talk about Coronation Street... and some famous Argentinian stars will be mentioned...
Ricardo Ramírez will talk about The Tudors... fortunately, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is far better looking than "good" king Hal...
Adriana Wiegand will talk about Dr. Who... and help us improve our pronunciation, following the standards of the future...
We'll let you know all about it soon!
